Police: Wanted man found sleeping in high school faculty lounge with meth, scale
ROSEBURG, Ore. - Officers found a man wanted on a warrant for escape from state prison sleeping in the high school faculty lounge with two ounces of methamphetamine and a scale Wednesday morning, the Roseburg Police Department said.
Police found Joshua Allen Templeton, 32, of Woodburn sleeping in the Roseburg High School faculty lounge just before 7 a.m.
Officers arrested him for trespassing.
Then they found the drugs.
Police said Templeton had two ounces of methamphetamine, packaging materials and a scale with him. That added charges of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school to the complaint against him.
And then there was a matter, police said, of a warrant for his arrest accusing Templeton of escaping from the Oregon State Penitentiary. Roseburg Police explained that it could mean he didn’t show up for court or some other situation related to the warrant.
Templeton is currently being held in the Douglas County Jail.
