There is some bad news for those planning to celebrate this month’s total solar eclipse in Banks.

According to the Banks Post, the Oregon Department of Transportation is forcing the Sunset Park Association to cancel its annual barbecue parade scheduled for the day of the eclipse, Aug. 21.

ODOT doesn't have anything against barbecues, but the event would result in street closures, and ODOT wants all roads open on eclipse day due to the million visitors expected to flood the state.
