New local art magazine now available

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The spotlight is on Douglas County artists, all because one woman decided to start a magazine called 'Bauble.'

Audrey Skullee says it's a unique name for a magazine, but the works of art presented in the magazine are also unique.

There is everything from hand-sewn fashion to watercolor paintings.

Skullee says it's hard for artists to get exposure, and she's trying to change that. "There are so many artists out there that are trying to make a living doing what they have a passion for, and they just don't get enough exposure," she said.

Skullee says she has distribution points set up in Eugene, Sutherlin and Roseburg.

The June issue is available at just under $6.

Her goal is to someday distribute them for free.
