Neighbors evacuated as crews battle Roseburg house fire

ROSEBURG, Ore. - Firefighters evacuated homes on Plateau Drive as they battled a house fire on the street Tuesday afternoon.

The two people in the home at the time of the fire got out OK.

The first crews arrived on scene at 1:35 p.m. and focused on preventing the fire from spreading to neighboring homes.

The fire was under control by 2:01 p.m.

The fire department said some units were delayed in arriving on scene due to a car crash in Winchester.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
