Musicians for Mobility holds 6th annual fundraiser concert for those with mobility issues
ROSEBURG, ore. -- It was a musical weekend at the Umpqua Valley Arts Association in Roseburg Saturday.
Musicians for Mobility performed at an all-day fundraising concert, and for the sixth year, the group raised money for local young people with mobility issues.
The money goes toward things like wheelchairs, wheelchair ramps, and even gas cards to help patients get to their doctors.
"We bought a seizure dog for a little girl about three seasons ago. We're working on two dogs for this year. We have a lot of really great people and we've been raising a lot of money," says event musical director and president Steve Richardson.
Organizers say this year was the biggest turnout they've seen.
They're considering expanding the organization outside of Roseburg.
