ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The newest Star Wars movie closes the season for Roseburg's Movies in the Park.

According to the program coordinator, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is back by popular demand after it’s originally scheduled screening in June was postponed due to rain.

Despite the setback, this year’s movie program has drawn the biggest overall crowd in its eight years.

"Each year it gets better and better,” says Val Ligon with Roseburg Parks and Recreation, which administers the program. “We expected the night that we had the rainout to be a record-breaking night; well over a thousand people."

You can catch the last movie on Friday, August 26, at the Stewart Park band shell.

Pre-movie entertainment starts at 7 p.m. and the movie begins around 9 p.m.
