Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in MLK crash
EUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on MLK Boulevard at Leo Harris Parkway on Saturday night, where they located a single motorcyclist who was severely injured in the crash.
A witness advised that the motorcycle was weaving through traffic at a high rate of speed before leaving the roadway and striking a retaining wall.
The rider was transported to Riverbend Hospital with several fractures and other life-threatening injuries.
The eastbound lanes of MLK were closed for several hours, but all lanes have since been reopened. It is believed that speed and alcohol played a factor in the crash.
