Hundreds turn out for 7th annual Umpqua Brew Fest
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Douglas County Fairgrounds were hopping this weekend at the Umpqua Brew Fest.
The seventh annual event gathered multiple breweries from across the Umpqua Valleys and hundreds of people sampled brews and food while taking in live entertainment.
Some local brewers showcased their beers for the first time.
"Excellent turn out; just look around,” said Mark Nunnelee with Lookingglass Brewery. “There's so many people here. We're having a great time. We already blew one keg and we have three beers on tap. We're giving away a lot of beer."
The Umpqua Brew Fest celebrates clean water, craft beer and sustainable living each year by benefiting Umpqua Watersheds.
Teams were on hand to provide information about the local river system and its importance to community health.
