High school trainer pleads not guilty to 3 counts of sex abuse

EUGENE, Ore. - A Willamette High School athletic trainer pleaded not guilty to 3 counts of second degree sex abuse accusing him of illegal sexual contact with a student.

Timothy Michael Schley, 29, is accused of having sexual contact with a female student under the age of 18.

Initially arrested by police on 1 count of second degree sex abuse, the grand jury indicted Schley on 3 counts after reviewing the evidence.

Schley is free on bail. His attorney entered the not guilty plea for him.

Schley's release agreement requires him not to have any contact with the victim or come within a mile of her house. He is wearing an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet.

Schley started work at Willamette High School as an athletic trainer in 2009.
