HIGH SCHOOL GAMEDAY: Sheldon and South Medford play for SWC control
EUGENE, Ore. - Another Friday Night Fever is among us, and this time, a powerhouse matchup is brewing in the Southwest Conference.
A top-6 battle is taking place, with the SWC Title on the line tonight between Sheldon and South Medford.
The winner of the game remains undefeated in conference play and takes full control of the conference race. What makes this game so interesting, however, is the level of talent on both sides of the field.
The Irish roster is flooded with connections to the Ducks, led by one of the Nation's best dual threat quarterbacks in Michael Johnson Jr., who has 24 touchdowns in 6 games this year.
Patrick Herbert, younger brother of Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert, plays both ways and has seven touchdowns this year, and Raymond Woodie is quite possibly the best defensive player for the Irish this season.
For South Medford, the highest ranked recruit in this game belongs to them. Chase Cota, son of former UO defensive back Chad Cota, has offers from Oregon , Alabama and a number of other high-profile schools in the nation.
