Health group looking for advisory members
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- If you would like to help improve health care in Douglas County, the Umpqua Health Alliance can help you get involved.
They are accepting applications for their Community Advisory Council.
If chosen, you will be able to share your thoughts with the alliance board on how to improve health care services in the community.
Dr. Robert Dannenhoffer, the CEO of Umpqua Health Alliance, says they would like anyone who is interesting in making a healthier community apply. "We're not looking for anybody in particular, but we would really like to have people who are interested in health in Douglas County," he said. "We would like to be sure that we have several members who are Oregon Health Plan members. We think Oregon Health Plan members have a very specific idea of what the needs are for people in our community."
It's a volunteer position which meets once a month.
You can get an application here, and it's due by May 30.
