Have you voted? More ballots in at this time than last prez. election

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- Ballots are coming in faster this year than the last presidential election, according to officials with the Douglas County Elections Office.

So far, officials have received 17.5% of ballots mailed out.

That means that nearly 1,100 people out of the more than 62,000 registered voters have sent their ballots in.

In 2008, only 13.5% of people had voted by now, but the return is less than this time two years ago when 21% of registered voters had turned in their ballots by this time.
