Gas hits $4: 'I don't think a guy should have to pay much over $3 a gallon'
ROSEBURG, Ore. - Gas prices continue to climb in Oregon as the Fourth of July holiday weekend approaches.
According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of gas in Oregon is $3.98.
In Roseburg on Monday, the highest advertised price for a gallon of regular was $4.05.
"I'm from California, so this is pretty normal," said David Tirado of San Diego. "This tank probably cost $60, but you have to have it to get around."
"I don't know - we got a monopoly going here?" said Ken Wilson of La Center, Wash. "I don't think a guy should have to pay much over $3 a gallon for it."
The state average for a gallon of gas in Oregon is 21 cents higher than a year ago and 30 cents higher than the current national average.
