Food pantry sees increase in donations, needs more help

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A local food pantry is seeing a big boost in donations thanks to one of their programs.

The Fish Food Pantry serves thousands of people every month.

Lately they have seen an increase in donations thanks to their food project where neighborhood coordinators encourage their friends to give back.

But, organizer Karla Rhoady says that no matter how many donations they get, the need always seems to be greater. "I don't think I ever feel like it's enough, because we give out 40,000 pounds of food a month, and right now on our collections we're getting, let's say round it up to 10,000 pounds a month six times a year."
