Florence woman ejected from SUV, found dead at crash scene on Hwy 138W
ELKTON, Ore. - A Florence woman died when her SUV went off the highway, ejecting her from the vehicle, Oregon State Police said.
The investigation started Saturday morning at 2:40 a.m. when Reedsport Police received a report that a motorist had seen tail lights in a ditch along Highway 138W near Elkton.
First responders found a 2002 Nissan SUV 150 feet off the road.
Police found the driver, 67-year-old Leona Robb of Florence, dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation found Robb was not conscious when her car left the road. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle in the crash, police said.
