FBI: $1,000 reward for info on armed robbery suspect

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - The FBI offered up a $1000 reward to anyone with information that can help them find the man who robbed a US Bank in Springfield last week.

The reward, offered by the Oregon Financial Institution Security Task Force, is for information that helps investigators find, arrest and convict the person behind two violent bank robberies that took place in Springfield and Tualatin, Ore.

"The suspect is believed to be wearing the same hooded jacket in both robberies, and the physical descriptions are almost identical," the FBI said in a press release.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the suspect entered the US Bank on Mohawk Boulevard carrying what witnesses described as a rifle wrapped in a blanket. He demanded money and left the bank on foot.

FBI officials said they believe the suspect is the same man who robbed a Bank of the West in Tualatin on September 5.

The suspect was described as a white man, about 40 to 50 years old, 6-feet tall , 210 pounds with darker long hair.

He was wearing a light green and white plaid jacket with a hood at the time of the robbery.
