Easter egg hunt for those with disabilities takes place Saturday morning
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- An organization in Douglas County is working to make sure people with special needs are included in Easter activities.
The Umpqua Valley Disabilities Network is hosting its 9th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The goal is to create an event strictly for people with disabilities and the organization wants to make sure they feel special.
"It's just to see their happy faces, and when they win the prizes they're so excited,” said UVDN’s Marilyn Burke, “so it's just a good time for everybody. We get a pleasure and we have a great time."
The Easter Egg Hunt for people with special needs is set for this Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at Eastwood Elementary School in Roseburg.
