Douglas County WIC program offers free dental screenings, planting classes for kids
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Women, Infants and Children program of Douglas County is helping kids and parents learn more about nutrition.
The Nutrition Adventures group puts on the program once a month so parents can learn about healthy living.
This month's event will feature free dental screenings and planting classes for kids.
"It helps give us an opportunity to offer some nutrition information in an informal setting that is hopefully more convenient to our families," says WIC of Douglas County program director Judy Cheek.
Nutrition Adventures is for children under five and open to the public.
The event is set for this Tuesday afternoon from 1:15-4 p.m. in Roseburg.
