Douglas County task force team deployed to Southern California wildfires
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- In coordination with the OSFM Agency Operations Center and as requested by California fire officials, Douglas County, in conjunction with Klamath County, deployed a task force team Friday night to fires burning near Chino in Southern California.
Douglas County sent eight firefighters with two engines, as well as one task force leader with a command vehicle, from the City of Roseburg Fire Department and Douglas County Fire District #2.
Both departments are assisting with efforts to save lives and property from the devastating California wildfires.
"Our thoughts are with both the residents of California and emergency responders who continue to work hard protecting lives and property," Roseburg Fire Department said in a news release.
