Douglas, Coos counties receive thousands of dollars in timber payments
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Douglas and Coos counties received thousands of dollars in timber payments Friday.
The Bureau of Land Management distributes the money under the Coos Bay Wagon Road Act.
Douglas County will receive close to $30,000 while Coos County gets over $200,000.
The counties use the money to pay for law enforcement, road maintenance, and libraries.
