Detectives: Roseburg man was dealing heroin near school

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Roseburg man is behind bars after detectives with the Douglas Interangency Narcotics Team found him allegedly dealing heroin.

DINT detectives say they got information that Aaron George Baker, 23, was dealing heroin out of his apartment. Authorities say it was located one block south of Rose Elementary School in south Roseburg.

When detectives first arrived, they say Baker gave them a false name, and later resisted arrest.

DINT officials say they found five grams of heroin hidden in a prescription bottle in the residence.

Baker is currently being held at the Douglas County Jail, with his bail set at $512,500.

His charges include unlawful possession of heroin and unlawful distribution of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school.
