DeFazio: 'I think a lot of people were surprised by the election'
COOS BAY, Ore. -- Congressman Peter DeFazio spoke out against some of President Donald Trump's policies Monday during a visit to Coos Bay.
Topics at the town hall meeting included the president's stance on illegal immigration and the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
"I think a lot of people were surprised by the election, and they're very upset about a lot of the policies that are being pushed out of Washington DC,” DeFazio said, “so I think there's a growing awareness of people saying, 'I've got to speak up or things are going to happen that I really don't like.'”
The meeting was held at Marshfield High School.
