Corbett woman impaled when tree falls on home
CORBETT, Ore. – A Corbett woman is in the hospital after she was impaled by a tree that blew into her home Sunday night.
Corbett Fire responded to her home around 11:30 p.m.
They say the 65-year-old woman had a limb in her lower torso, but she was alert and conscious.
Crews say they were able to secure the limb and safely get her out of the home. They took her to Emanuel Hospital.
All other occupants in the house made it out safely, including pets, fire officials say.
The structure has extensive damage.
