Bomb squad responds to suspicious package, closes I-5 southbound near Woodburn
WOODBURN, Ore. - A suspicious package closed all lanes of Interstate 5 for a time Wednesday and near Woodburn while the Oregon State Police bomb squad investigated.
The closure initially only affected the southbound lanes.
State police closed the interstate in both directions while bomb technicians checked the package.
All lanes were back open by 3:30 p.m., with traffic moving slowly. Only the southbound on ramp to I-5 at Woodburn remained closed.
That ramp was back open by 3:45 p.m.
