5.1 earthquake Monday off the coast of Oregon

COOS BAY, Ore. - An earthquake over magnitude 5 shook beneath the ocean floor off the coast of Oregon Monday.

The quake measured at 5.1 on the Richter scale caused no tsunami risk to the West Coast.

The quake hit just before noon Monday about 200 miles west of Coos Bay on the Blanco fault, not the Cascadia Subduction Zone fault.
