11 deployed soldiers have vehicles vandalized

LEBANON, Ore. -- Some National Guard soldiers are going to come home to damaged vehicles, after police say someone broke into a compound and vandalized them.

Lebanon police say they were called Monday to a secured National Guard compound, where 11 vehicles belonging to deployed soldiers were vandalized and ransacked.

Police say evidence shows the person who did it was angry with either the Alpha Troop or the National Guard in general.

Police say a single male in an unknown type vehicle is their suspect at this point.

Civilian volunteers with the Lebanon police and a National Guard family resource group wrapped all of the vehicles in tarps to prevent weather damage.

Police say that if you have information about the vandalism, you are asked to call the Lebanon Police Department.

All the soldiers who had vehicles damaged were notified.
