Beware of grant offers- the grants are bogus

A heads up from the Better Business Bureau. Tough economic times have more people falling for scams involving government grants- grants that don't exist.

One of the most recent scams charges $250 for a so-called grant membership program. People who pay, get zip.

"Folks say 'Hey, we never got our money! We paid them and now we want a refund," the company says.

"Tough luck. We're not calling you back," explained the BBB's David Quinlan.

Remember you never have to pay for a grant. Period. And you should never respond to any pitch that promises easy money.
